Vegas Pro 10 – Yadif Deinterlace
Available an interesting plugin for Sony Vegas Pro 10: Yadif Deinterlacer.
The plugin is developed with OFX technology (only compatible with Vegas Pro 10 and above) and it is the porting of the well-known AVISYNTH deinterlacer.
Install
After unpacking the ZIP package you have to copy the Yadif Deinterlace.ofx.bundle folder in C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas Pro 10.0\OFX Video Plug-Ins, open Vegas Pro 10 and you will have the new plugin available in the VideoFX list.
Usage
The plugin must be used only as MEDIA FX, so applied to the clip in PROJECT MEDIA, and not as an EVENT, TRACK of VIDEO OUTPUT FX.
Applied the plugin, we can set the deinterlacing type, Temporal only or Temporal/Spatial, the Field Order (Lower, Upper or Upper HD video and Lower for SD video), then the field with which to perform the interpolation (Upper or Lower).
