Sony Vegas Pro – OFX Effects

Sony Creative Software has introduced, with the release of Vegas Pro, the compatibility with the Open Effects (OFX) standards that allowed a high and tight integration with software and plug-ins for high-level video effects developed by third parties.
Thanks to this, in Vegas Pro we have now features like Motion Tracking or 2D/3D compositing (eg with Boris Continuum Complete and Boris Red), advanced Color Correction, Color Conforming and Grading (eg GenArts Sapphire Edge), etc. as well as new management capabilities for video plug-in like the distribution of plug-in parameters in columns or the management of advanced keyframe interpolation by curves, we could manage all these without leaving the Sony Vegas Pro interface and without the use of export formats, intermediate files or frame-server.
These standards were also integrated into Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD 11 Platinum, bringing the advanced compositing also in the consumer and entry-level market .

Here I report a list of existing plug-in developed using the OFX standards and allowing full integration with Sony Vegas Pro, the list is constantly changing and updating, so I invite you to check back periodically.
Regarding compatibility with Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum, even though the software incorporates the same Open Effects (OFX) technology, it is not guaranteed that the same effects available for Vegas Pro are immediately available for Movie Studio, in fact, each plugin is unlocked and made available only for specific HOST, then, if installed, the plugins listed below are also visible in Movie Studio but using them, you may get a message with request for a serial number or a message with the indication that the HOST software is not authorized to use the plug-in, so you must check the manufacturer’s website if there is an update available or a specific version for Movie Studio.
